On July 22, Renmin University of China organized a seminar themed “China and World Development: Follow the Trend for Win-Win Cooperation.” Li Dawei, Deputy Director of the Emerging Economies Research Office of the Institute of International Economic Research, was invited to deliver a keynote speech. Li Dawei said that China serves as a major driver for global economic growth. Viewed from the demand side, China’s economic development has created a huge demand for other countries across the world and also provided a huge market for multinational companies. Foreign-funded enterprises, especially US-funded companies, have obtained considerable profits from the economic development. From the supply-side perspective, China has made great contributions to optimizing the allocation of global production factors and expanding the possibility of global production. At the meeting, 10-plus experts delivered speeches on China’s relations with the world, including Liu Yuanchun, Vice-president of Renmin University of China, Gao Fei, Vice-president of China Foreign Affairs University, Xu Hui, President of the International College of Defence Studies of National Defence University, PLA, China, and Wang Honggang, Director of the Institute of American Studies of China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations.
