Macroeconomics is under the administration of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and run by the NDRC Academy of Macroeconomic Research. It is a national-level authoritative periodical in the field of Chinese macroeconomic study.
Macroeconomics emphasizes linking theory with practice, macroscopic view relying on microscopic view, and the combination of policy study with academic discussion. It closely centers on the key points, difficulties and hot issues related to the development and reform of Chinese economy and society; conducts theoretical, institutional and tactical research; comprehensively reflects new views on macroeconomic issues from all sectors of society; and provides references for improving the macroeconomic management of our country. The periodical provides a high-level academic exchange platform for governments at all levels, economic research institutions, universities and colleges, Party schools, administration institutes, all kinds of enterprises, and all aspects of the society (industry, government, research, school, and society) in macroeconomic study. It organizes discussions about major economic, social and reform issues, advocates “contention of a hundred schools of thought”, and encourages the creation and spread of new thoughts.
